The Centre for Environmental Research, Education and Development (CERED) is proud to announce the establishment of the School of Renewable Energy, a pioneering institution dedicated to advancing education, research, and innovation in the field of sustainable energy. The school has been conceived with the vision of addressing the global energy crisis and promoting eco-friendly solutions through academic excellence and hands-on training.
At the School of Renewable Energy, students will gain comprehensive knowledge and skills in diverse areas of renewable energy including solar energy, bioenergy, hydropower, wind energy, and energy storage systems. Our programs are designed to provide a balance of theoretical understanding, practical applications, and research exposure, enabling learners to contribute effectively to the growing energy sector.
With a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary learning, the school will integrate scientific, technical, and policy perspectives to prepare students for careers as innovators, researchers, and sustainability leaders. The curriculum will be supported by advanced laboratories, field projects, and collaborations with industry and government bodies to ensure relevance to real-world challenges.
In alignment with CERED’s mission, the School of Renewable Energy will not only focus on academic growth but also encourage students to develop solutions that benefit communities, reduce carbon footprints, and support national and global energy transitions. We believe in empowering young minds to harness renewable energy as a cornerstone for a cleaner, greener, and more resilient future.
